This qualification is designed to educate Learners about health and safety in the workplace. The qualification covers understanding risk assessment, identifying and controlling the risks from common workplace hazards, the legal requirements related to health and safety in the workplace and what to do in response to accidents and incidents at work. Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (QCF) is registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) regulated by Ofqual.
Who is this course for?
The qualification is designed for all employees and volunteers to raise their awareness of health and safety in the workplace. By gaining this health and safety qualification staff will be able to make a positive contribution to their workplace safety management systems.
There are no formal entry requirements, however it is advisable that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.
